Asher Angel is one teenager who knows exactly where he is going – in fact, the talented actor/ singer/musician has been on a trajectory straight to the top of the showbiz heap since he was six years old. Now 15, Asher is one of the popular stars of the hit Disney Channel show “Andi Mack,” which is set to enter its second season in late 2017. Playing “the cutest guy at school” and the boy that Andi (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) has a huge crush on is a natural for Asher, who’s been using his adorable dimples, winning smile and first-rate acting chops to climb the ladder of success since the acting bug hit him as a very small boy. That’s when Asher nabbed his first movie role in 2008, playing a five-year-old child in “Jolene” opposite Jessica Chastain in that renowned actress’s first feature film. Asher Angel’s career really took off in his hometown of Paradise Valley, Arizona, where he followed in his actress mother’s footsteps and booked his first theatrical role at age eight, with a small part in “Oliver!” at the Desert Stages Theatre. From there, the charismatic young thespian played numerous notable parts in theaters across the Phoenix area, including Colin in “A Secret Garden” at Arizona Broadway Theater; the Narrator in “Into the Woods” and Jojo in “Seussical Jr.” (for which he took home his first National Youth Arts Award in 2013), both at Desert Stages Theater;

Jeremy Jacobs in “How I Became a Pirate” at Greasepaint Youth Theatre in 2014, winning another NYA Award and in 2015 took two key roles, as Oliver in “Oliver!” at Mesa Encore Theater, in a return – as the lead this time – to the first play he ever did, and as Michael in “Mary Poppins” at the Phoenix Theater. Asher was elated and humbled to accept the 2015 National Youth Awards for Junior Artist of the Year and Outstanding Lead Actor (Junior Division) for his performances. When Asher Angel finally came to Hollywood, roles quickly materialized for such a talented actor, as he booked guest-star appearances on CBS’s “Criminal Minds” (2016) and Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn” (2016), as well as numerous national commercials. That year marked his really big break, when Asher was cast to play Jonah Beck in Disney Channel’s breakout television show “Andi Mack.” While Asher helped make “Andi Mack” the Number One children’s television show as the first season aired from March to June 2017, he didn’t rest during his hiatus from the show, which began second-season production in July 2017. Instead, Asher starred as Alex in the short film “On Pointe,” currently in post-production. And he’s not stopping there, for while developing his acting career, Asher is actively pursuing his music career, singing, playing and writing music, and marked his first live performance at the Future Disruptors showcase in June 2017.
